2025 BURSARY PROGRAM


Bursary Applications are now OPEN for students with a confirmed enrolment at the College for Year 7, 2025.  St Michael’s College offers academic and general excellence bursaries for Year 7 students who excel, have a love of learning and are enthusiastic to embrace the co-curricular life offered at the College.

Academic Excellence

Academic Bursary recipients will have demonstrated a high standard of academic achievement and it is the College’s expectation that the students will continue to do this. In addition, bursary recipients will be expected to contribute to the St Michael’s community with enthusiasm and commitment. Selection will be based on academic merit and will consider the results of school reports and information supplied at the time of application. Only shortlisted candidates will be interviewed.
 

General Excellence

General Excellence Bursary recipients will have demonstrated a high standard of achievement in areas including, but not limited to, sport, the arts, leadership or community service. The student must also demonstrate positive and enthusiastic contribution to school life and maintain academic grades to above the average level.

•           There are ten bursaries available at a value of $1,000 per year over three years of attendance at the College. The bursary amount is deducted from the College fees * This is provided the recipient continues to be fully involved in College activities and meets all expectations. 
•           Bursaries will be awarded based on merit as determined by a panel. Our bursaries are awarded to high achieving students who excel in their academic pursuits within the areas of Academic and General Excellence.
•           Over the three years, the bursary recipient must continue to be fully involved in College activities and maintain excellence in their chosen pursuit, as well as maintaining their academic grades to above the average level.
